Najnowszy album The Getaway został wydany przez Warner Bros. w dniu 17 czerwca br. Producentami albumu jest Danger Mouse i Nigel Godrich. To jest jedenasty, studyjny album „Papryczek”.

Red Hot Chili Peppers to jeden z najbardziej spektakularnych i odnoszących sukces zespołów w historii rocka. Wokalista Anthony Kiedis, basista Flea, perkusista Chad Smith i gitarzysta Josh Klinghoffer sprzedali ponad 60 mln. płyt, w tym ponad pięć multi-platynowych albumów.

Zdobyli wspólnie sześć statuetek Grammy za m.in.: “Najlepszy Album Rock” dla Stadium Arcadium, “Najlepsze Wokalne Wykonanie Rock przez Duet lub Grupę” dla Dani California, “Najlepsza Piosenka Rock” dla Scar Tissue oraz “Najlepsze Wykonanie Hard Rock” dla Give It Away. W kwietniu 2012 r. zespół został wprowadzony do elitarnego Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
