Wyprodukowany przez Lorde, Jacka Antonoffa i Franka Dukesa, fantastyczny nowy krążek był nagrywany w mieszkaniu Jacka oraz legendarnym Electric Lady Studios.
Nadchodzący album Lorde jest na ustach całego świata, również gwiazd. Zachwyceni kawałkiem „Green Light” Diplo, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Halsey, Charlie XCX i nawet Aaron Paul z serialu Breaking Bad udostępnili link do utworu na swoich kanałach.
W 2014 roku 16 – letnia Lorde zaprezentowała się jako głos swojego pokolenia za sprawą debiutanckiego krążka Pure Heroine. Album pokrył się na świecie potrójną platyną, z wynikiem łącznej sprzedaży ponad 4 milionów egzemplarzy na świecie. Wydawnictwo przyniosło artystce dwie nagrody GRAMMY® i jedną BRIT. Singiel „Royals” zyskał na świecie status siedmiokrotnie platynowego, a jego następca „Team” pokrył się poczwórną platyną.
Podczas zeszłorocznej gali Brit Awards, Lorde na prośbę rodziny zmarłego Davida Bowiego oddała mu hołd. Swego czasu Bowie nazwał ją „przyszłością muzyki”. Lorde udowadnia na każdym kroku, że jest godna tych słów.
