Gala wręczenia nagród odbędzie się 27 sierpnia 2017 roku w Inglewood w Kalifornii.
Ed Sheeran do tej pory ma na swoim koncie jedną statuetką VMA za teledysk „Sing”.
Przypomnijmy, że Ed Sheeran wystąpi 11 sierpnia i 12 sierpnia 2018 roku na PGE Narodowym w Warszawie. Po wydanych w 2011 roku albumie „+” i w 2014 roku albumie „x” Ed umocnił swoją pozycję na międzynarodowej arenie muzycznej płytą „÷”. Krążek ukazał się 3 marca 2017 roku, a pochodzące z niego utwory jeszcze przed premierą wydawnictwa zaczęły bić rekordy popularności. Single „Shape Of You” i „Castle On The Hill” tuż po premierze stały się najczęściej odtwarzanymi utworami w serwisie Spotify, przy czym pierwszy z wymienionych pobił rekord najchętniej słuchanej piosenki w historii serwisu.

W dniu premiery płyta „÷” odniosła równie wielki sukces bijąc rekord odtworzeń. W Polsce krążek uzyskał status podwójnie platynowej płyty, natomiast piosenki „Shape Of You” i „Castle On The Hill” zdobyły w naszym kraju wyróżnienia odpowiednio diamentowego singla i podwójnej platyny. Obecnie album promuje utwór „Galaway Girl”. Na całym świecie Ed Sheeram sprzedał ponad 26 milionów egzemplarzy płyt.
Eda Sheerana ostatnio gościliśmy w Polsce w 2015 roku. Wokalista wystąpił wówczas na warszawskim Torwarze. Bilety na to wydarzenie wyprzedały się w niecały tydzień.
