W rozmowie z “Entertainment Weekly”, frontman Brandon Flowers przyznał, że krążek przypomina “Sam’s Town”, czyli drugi longplay kapeli. Z płyty wydanej w 2006 roku pochodzą przeboje “When You Were Young” i “Bones”.
Materiał na “Wonderful Wonderful” powstawał w Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles i Joshua Tree z producentem Jacknife’em Lee (U2, R.E.M., Editors). Nad brzmieniem czuwał też Stuart Price (Madonna, The Killers).
